High Wildlights attendance caps record year for BC Wildlife Park

KAMLOOPS — The twinkling lights that illuminated the BC Wildlife Park over the holiday season drew more visitors to the park than they've had in years. 

Between Dec. 14 and Jan. 6 more than 18,000 people attended the 21st annual Wildlights Festival.

A look back at a busy 2018 for Kamloops Search and Rescue

KAMLOOPS — 2018 was a busy and emotional year for Kamloops Search and Rescue. 

Throughout the year, Kamloops Search and Rescue was called out for 42 tasks compared to 49 last year. 

However, this year the volunteer searchers have had more operational periods than last year.

Kamloops residents encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees

KAMLOOPS — The presents have been opened, the decorations are coming down and soon those natural Christmas trees will be removed from peoples' homes. 

The City of Kamloops is encouraging residents to recycle their trees in order to divert them from the landfill.
