KAMLOOPS — Who said winter is over?

Mother Nature apprently isn’t quite finished with us.

The system that has brought some rain to Kamloops this morning has brought some heavy snow to the Coquihalla and while it’s pretty wet snow, it’s been heavy right through to the snowshed. And there are slippery sections. 

It’s been snowing heavily around Helmer, Comstock, Larsen Hill and on parts of the Okanagan Connector.

So drive carefully if you have to head out this morning.  And keep in mind that if you have already taken off your winter tires, think twice about travelling the route until it improves.

There’s been an accident in the northbound lanes near Helmer, but the road is open to single lane alternating  traffic. 

Fortunately, it’s  not expected to last.

In Kamloops, it’s been raining for the past few hours. 

Lots of puddles, and remember that some of them are only serving to hide the potholes underneath.
