KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack will have a new coach at the helm of their women’s basketball program when the 2019-20 Canada West season begins in November.

The WolfPack are announcing that Scott Reeves will not be returning to the program this coming season. Reeves has been with the program for 13 seasons since joining it from Brookswood Secondary in Langley.

During his time with the WolfPack, Reeves led the team to five straight playoff appearances. The team has failed to make the post season the last three seasons.

Says Reeves; “ I would like to say to the university, alumni and current team that I am thankful for the opportunity to coach at the U SPORTS level for the past 13 seasons. I have some memorable friendships that will last a lifetime. I gave everything I had to my profession and met so many great people along the journey.”

Reeves was named the Canada West coach of the year in 2014-15. He was the second head coach in the WolfPack’s history. He replaced Ken Olynyk and Joe Enevoldson, who ran the team on an interim basis during the first year of the program in Canada West/CIS in 2005-06.

Thompson Rivers University Athletics Director Curtis Atkinson states, “ I would like to thank Scott for his many contributions to TRU.  Scott worked hard for our institution and was always passionate about building a program that Kamloops would be proud of.  I wish Scott the very best in his future.”

A search for his replacement will begin shortly.
