KAMLOOPS — Downtown Kamloops was buzzing, as hundreds came out to support the third annual Women’s March in Kamloops today (Jan. 19).

Co-organizer Alix Dolson says it was great to have so many stand up for people in the community and come out to show their support.

“There are still a lot of inequalities that women face around the world, and in Kamloops,” She explains, “So theres been some good momentum, lots of shifts have happened. I think people are talking about it more. There’s been some changes but theres still so much work to do, and its important to hold events like this for visibility, and to inspire people to get involved, and to remind people that they’re not alone in their struggle for equality.”
