KAMLOOPS — The Western Hockey League today announced that Jeff Faith of the Kamloops Blazers has been suspended for five games under supplemental discipline for an incident that occurred Wednesday, January 9 at Victoria.

“In reviewing this play, which occurred later in the game, it was evident that Faith made direct contact with the opponent’s head,” commented WHL Director, Player Safety Kevin Acheson. “As a result of the contact, the opponent was injured.”

Faith will serve the first game of his suspension on Friday, January 11 at Victoria and will be eligible to return to the Blazers lineup on Sunday, January 20 at Prince George.
