U-Haul says Kamloops is one of Canada’s top growth cities

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops has hit lucky number 13 for growth cities in Canada, according to moving van rental company U-Haul.

The company measures where its trucks are heading, and says one-way arrivals in Kamloops were up 25 per cent in 2018, and departures were up only 10 per cent.

Overall, 52.3 per cent of one-way U-Haul activity in Kamloops consisted of people arriving in the city.

Number one on the Canadian list was Kingston, Ontario, with Victoria coming in second.

Other BC cities on the list include Kelowna at 12 and Penticton at 19.
