KAMLOOPS — What are the odds Kamloops will wake up to a white Christmas? –The question many are asking with Christmas Eve coming up tomorrow.

According to Environment Canada Meteorologist, Gregg Walters, the local area is pretty dry, and the small amount of snowfall Kamloops and the surrounding areas got yesterday likely won’t be a trend.

“It looks to be fairly dry right through Christmas,” He explains, “I mean granted, the temperature is going to stay at or below freezing. As far as a white Christmas is concerned, there might be a little bit of patchy snow here and there, but not much.”

Heading into the new year, Walters says its expected that snow-less weather will finish off 2018.
