KAMLOOPS — Two men have been arrested after a traffic stop in Valleyview yesterday.

At roughly 9:00 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 16), a Kamloops RCMP officer conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that ran through a stop sign.

After approaching the vehicle and speaking with the two men inside, the officer saw some “illegal controlled drugs” in plain view. The two men were arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed more drugs, $2,000 in cash, two swords and a conducted energy weapon.

The men, 19 and 20 years old, are from Abbotsford and were previously known to police. They were released with a future court date.
