KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have back-to-back losses in the first two games of a six game Central Division road trip.

Yesterday in Calgary the Hitmen broke a 2-2 tie with four goals in three minutes and two seconds in the second period on the way to a 6-3 win.

Martin Lang, Kyrell Sopotyk and Zane Franklin had the Blazers goals.

On Saturday the Blazers lost 3-2 in overtime to the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Martin Lang had tied it for the Blazers with 13 seconds left in regulation time, before the Oil Kings won it 30 seconds into overtime.

Both games in Edmonton and Calgary were teddy bear games.

14,981 of the cuddly carnivorans hit the ice at Rogers Place Saturday in Edmonton.

Yesterday in Calgary the Hitmen set a team and Western League record with 29,635 bears —- but fell short of the world record 34,798 set at an American Hockey League game last week in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Sunday was the third of four teddy bear games the Blazers will be in.

They had their own on December 1st at the Sandman in a win over Seattle.

They’ll be in one this coming Friday night at Kootenay.
