KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops building sector has pushed over the $200 million mark in permit values for 2018.

With more than $24 million in permits taken out in October, the year-to-date total for 2018 is now $210.6 million, about 15 per cent more than at the same time last year, according to numbers from the City of Kamloops.

The majority of last month’s permits were issued for residential construction, including $10.5 million for a single multi-family development.

The record for construction value in one calendar year for Kamloops was set in 2017, with $224 million in construction taking place.
