KAMLOOPS — 11 people died when a gunman opened fire at a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh during Sabbath services Saturday.

It was a brazen attack against the Jewish community and a reminder that bigotry and discrimination are ongoing issues in modern society.

Tuesday night, the Kamloops Jewish Community, and people of all faiths, ethnicities, and backgrounds came together at the Pavillion Theatre to remember the victims of the Pittsburgh attack and denounce hatred.
