Two arrested following armed robbery on Tranquille Road

KAMLOOPS — Two men have been arrested and charged in a scary armed robbery on the North Shore early yesterday morning.

A man was walking on Tranquille Road near Yew Street and Aspen Street when three men, one of them wielding a machete, took his wallet and cell phone.

Corporal Cheryl Bush says there was a break in that investigation yesterday.

“At approximately 9:25 pm on March 1, 2016, Kamloops RCMP identified suspects through follow up investigation and arrested two males. The 18 and 21 year olds have since been released with a pending court date and the investigation is ongoing,” said Cpl. Cheryl Bush.
