Fire crews battle semi fire near Lafarge

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire and Rescue crews had to deal with a semi trailer fire Thursday night on the Lafarge turnoff adjacent to the Trans Canada Highway.
Platoon Captain Daryl Cooper says they got the call at 8:00 PM Thursday night.
He says the fire was contained to the trailer. The tractor was unharmed.
Cooper says the driver had already been taken to hospital to be checked over by the time fire crews arrived, so they haven’t had a chance to determine exactly what happened.
