Accused intends to plead guilty in Aberdeen hit-and-run death

KAMLOOPS — The lawyer for the man accused of a 2016 hit-and-run that killed a Kamloops teenager has told BC Supreme Court his client intends to plead guilty.

Jason Gourlay is charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, possession of a controlled substance and attempting to pervert or defeat justice.

He is accused in the November 4, 2016 crash that killed 16 year old Jennifer Gatey.
