KAMLOOPS — A provincial court judge has acquitted a Barriere man accused of a 2016 sexual assault against an elderly woman.

Brian Byung Koo Lee was charged after a 97 year old woman said he forcibly groped and kissed her.

While Crown Counsel Frank Caputo said the woman presented ‘vivid memories’ of the incident, Lee himself testified he and the woman had simply talked.

In rendering his decision, Justice Chris Cleavely said Crown had failed to establish Lee’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, as there were inconsistencies in testimony.
