Woman pulled from freezing Nechako River in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — A woman was rescued from the Nechako River in Prince George this afternoon.

Prince George Fire Rescue Service was called to the banks of the Nechako River just after 1:00 p.m.

Witnesses at the scene say the Fire Rescue swift water team entered the river and located the woman near the banks of the river.

A short time later, the woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
