Housing starts in Kamloops down this year

KAMLOOPS — The numbers are in and housing starts were down last month in Kamloops compared to November 2016.

That from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, who note there were 83 housing starts in November 2017 compared to 161 in November 2016.

The year-to-date numbers are lagging behind as well, as there have been 472 to date this year compared to 668 by November 2016.

Of the 472 housing starts this year, 300 were single family homes, 88 were semi-detached, 47 were row homes and 37 were apartments.
