VICTORIA —   Rescuers have called off the search for a missing plane with two people aboard.

The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Victoria says search aircraft have flown 120 hours in challenging conditions, covering more than 22-thousand square kilometres.

Police have said 28-year-old pilot Dominic Neron and 31-year-old passenger Ashley Bourgeault were flying from Penticton to Edmonton when their single-engine plane vanished.

The disappearance is being transferred to the R-C-M-P. (The Canadian Press)
