KAMLOOPS — When it comes to sport popularity in Canada, hockey is number one —- while globally soccer tops the charts.

But not in all countries.

In many Latin American nations baseball wins out.

One of those is the Dominican Republic.

Next to the U.S. the Dominican Republic has the second highest number of players in Major League Baseball.

WolfPack baseball has kicked off its fall exhibition schedule with a five game series against a university team from the small Caribbean nation.
