KAMLOOPS — The BC Wildfire Service has taken the strongest measures yet to keep people away from areas where they could start new wildfires.
As of 1:30 this afternoon, public access to Crown lands within the Cariboo Fire Centre is completely prohibited.
This builds on earlier restrictions to burning activities and off-road vehicle use.
There are exceptions for commercial purposes and those travelling to their homes or using highways.
