19-year old woman facing charges in Westsyde stabbing

KAMLOOPS — RCMP have released more details of a stabbing that took place in Westsyde earlier this morning. 

Police were called to a disturbance and potential stabbing in Westsyde about 2:00 AM this morning.

They found a 20-year old man outside a residence suffering from a chest wound.

A female with a knife was located inside the residence as police investigated.

The man is being treated for his injuries. He’s in stable condition.

The 19 year old Kamloops woman is in police custody, and is facing possible charges of aggravated assault.

Police are viewing it as an isolated case, and say they don’t believe there is any further risk to public safety.
