CLINTON, B.C. — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued a new evacuation order adjacent to the fast-moving Ashcroft Reserve fire, now burning north of Cache Creek.

The new order covers about 25 rural properties north of Loon Lake, east of Clinton and east of 70 Mile House.

This order covers a very large area, but it is sparsely populated.

As of Saturday night, the Ashcroft Reserve fire was mapped at a staggering 42,300 hectares.
