KAMLOOPS — As temperature rise so does the risk of heat illnesses.

With temperatures expected to hit 36 degrees in Kamloops Sunday, Health BC officials are warning people to drink plenty of water and stay in a cool place as much as possible to avoid falling ill.

Common symptons of heat illness include swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and the worsening of some health conditions.

Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with chronic illnesses are most at risk.
