KAMLOOPS — RCMP have made an arrest in the December 30, 2016 murder of 42 year old Sean Dunn.

Dunn was killed near the corner of Tranquille Road and Wood Street.

RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says Dunn's death came after an early morning fight.

27 year old James David Bond is facing a single count of murder.

Shelkie says Dunn and Bond did not know each other before that night.

"Information gathered at the time of the incident indicated that the fight appeared to have stemmed from an argument between two men who had become acquainted that night at a local pub," said Shelkie.

A murder charge against Bond was sworn on Saturday.

Shelkie says Bond has no previous history of violence, and only a minor criminal record.

Bond is expected to appear in a Kamloops courtroom later today.
