Venom win TOJLL season opener

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom opened the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse season with an 11-8 win over the Kelowna Raiders.  Riley Peterson and Colton Boomer each had a hattrick for the Venom.    Peterson also had two assists to finish the night with five points.

Other scorers were Bowen Stauffer with two goals, Tylor Seabrooke, Quinn Williamson and Marcelo Bose each scored once and Kolby Pauwels had four assists.

Ethan Milobar started in goal and gave up seven of the eight Kelowna goals before being replaced by Matt Hans.

The Venom will open their home schedule Saturday night at Memorial Arena against the Vernon Tigers, in a re-match of last seasons playoff final, won by the Venom
