Child recovering after medical incident at Canada Games Pool

KAMLOOPS — The child who was the subject of a frantic emergency call to the Canada Games Pool yesterday has been released from hospital.

According to a news release from the City of Kamloops, the young child experienced a – quote – “medical incident” yesterday afternoon.

The city says lifeguards on duty cared for the child until ambulance paramedics arrived.

Follow-up contact with the boy’s family today revealed he has been released from Royal Inland Hospital, and is doing well.
