More seniors beds approved for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Interior Health has announced it has awarded a 48-bed development contract that will result in an expansion to The Hamlets in Westsyde.

The contract was awarded to H&H Total Care Services, a Surrey-based company that owns and operates The Hamlets.

The contract is part of a 243-bed IH-wide expansion of residential care services that went out for bids last September.

According to an IH news release, the Request for Proposals specified building “environments that are homelike and not institutional-feeling.”
