KAMLOOPS — B.C. Transit is continuing to work on revisions to transit service in the City.

Shilpa Panicker, senior transit planner  for B.C. Transit, updated council today on recent surveys which will guide changes to the transit service in September.

Council has approved 3,000 additional hours of service, and Panicker says they’ll be concentrating on efficiency and reliability to several routes, increasing Saturday and Sunday service, and perhaps providing service on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Panicker says they want to address long wait times on some routes, and to increase service for busier routes to increase frequency and decrease congestion, particularly in the afternoon.
