WHL announces suspensions to Blazers/Royals

KAMLOOPS — The Western Hockey League has suspended two players for separate incidents in the Blazers game in Victoria last Saturday.

Blazers defenceman Ondrej Vala has been suspended for two games for a cross checking penalty that injured the Royals Tyler Soy.

Vala sat out yesterdays game against Portland and will miss this Friday’s game in Vancouver.

Victoria’s Jared Dmytriw will sit for three games for a hit to the head on Blazers forward Deven Sideroff.
