Industrial accident leaves man critically injured

KAMLOOPS -- WorkSafe BC and the Kamloops RCMP have launched a joint investigation, after a construction worker was seriously injured yesterday.

According to RCMP, a man working for Grier Spray Foam, a Burnaby Insulation Company fell six metres, or twenty feet from a scissor lift to the concrete floor from a building in the CityView shopping centre.

The 45-year old man from Vancouver, was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with critical injuries.

WorkSafe BC prevention officers are onsite conducting an investigation alongside the RCMP.

At this time, it's too early to say what contributed to the accident.
